On Monday 23/03/20220 the Board of Directors of the Federation of ———– (SEGAS) announced its decision regarding the postponement of all competitions of national, regional and local level until the 30th April 2020.
No final decision has yet been made on the “Portarathon” Heptathlon and Decathlon International Meeting, which was scheduled to take place on the 23rd and 24th of May 2020. Depending on duration of the emergency measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic, three options are under discussion concerning the realization of “Portarathlon”: (1) it will take place on the original date (2) its postponement for the first weekend of June or September, i.e. 06-07/06 or 12-13/09, and (3) its postponement for 2021.
The final decision will be announced by the Federation after Orthodox Easter, i.e. after 20 April, taking into account the general situation of the pandemic on national and international level.
To date, foreign athletes who have already expressed an interest in participating in the 3rd Portarathon exceed in number the entries of previous years.
