Flisvos was founded in 1974 on the beach of Agios Georgios in Naxos Town, by Michalis Mavroyannopoulos, a restless and pioneering young man, who was motivated by his love for the sea and the water sports and he created the first school of water sports in Naxos and one of the first schools in Greece.
Windsurfing, water skiing and marine rings at that time was something unprecedented for the Greek facts and so Flisvos soon became the hotspot of Naxos, since in addition to the school of water sports at the Flisvos complex there is also a café, where you can enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets of the island under the traditional windmill and the legendary disco, where the 70s and 80s were the nucleus of Naxos’ entertainment.
All of this passion for sports, M. Mavrogiannopoulos shared with his family and so Flisvos is active until today by Manolis and Nikos Orfanos.
In our way from 1974 until today we have managed to win countless friends in Greece and all around the world, sharing their love for the sea and the action.
Our staff are always experienced marine sports instructors recognized by the Hellenic Federation, where are always at the disposal of both initiates and beginners.
